After a long absence—indeed since the 1970s—with the 2016 vintage we resumed producing a rosé, though in a more dynamic contemporary version, in line with the style of our wines, always oriented towards precision, fragrance and cleanliness.

To Sangiovese, a grape variety endowed with good structure and acidity, especially if harvested early, as in this case, we added Syrah, which lends personality to the aromas with exuberant notes of ripe fruit and spices, black pepper in particular. Even the palate benefits in terms of sweetness and depth.

Vinification

The two grape varieties picked at different times, undergo a very short pellicular maceration at low temperature followed by vinification in steel tanks of medium capacity with fermentation of 15-21 days. The wines are blended just before bottling
