It may be considered a wine for important occasions, though its pleasant drinkability makes it ideal for sipping at any time by less expert palates. In some vintages, to exalt its fruity character without losing touch with Sangiovese, small percentages of Merlot may be added, never more than 5-6%.<\/p>\n
