Marzieno

Created in the wake of certain new ideas and trends which first appeared in Tuscany, Marzieno has succeded over the years in giving itself a precise profile and personality and, above all, credibility, to the point that, according to critics, it is among the few red wines of our region capable of competing with the finest Italian reds of its type. Over the past few years, that continuing to maintain a solid Sangiovese-based identity, the Marzieno blend has seen the introduction, alongside Cabernet Sauvignon, of other grape varieties such as Syrah and Merlot. Ancellotta has also been present in the blend for a longer period of time, though it rarely reaches more than 2-3% of the total. Our preferred vintages are the 1990, the 1995, the 1997, the 1998 , the 2001 and the 2004.
